Freightliner Classic and Century have 4 lighter plugs. Plus, most truck stops sell splitters that can take one plug and turn it into 2 or 3 outlets. There is a plug in front, a plug for the TV, a plug under the desk unit and a plug at the head of the bunk.

I'm sure your brother will appreciate anything you get for him for his truck... as a fellow driver, I love all the little gadgets I can get. :-}
Like everyone else stated, don't worry about the plugs... there are multiple units in every truck I have driven over the last thirty years.
Sid.... I have to make a comment about your answer... I have not seen a commercial truck (in the USA) with a 24 volt electrical system in thirty years on the road. The first truck I drove had a Series/Parallel Switch to supply the starter motor on a 3408 Cat because it required 24 volts to turn that big monster motor over, but the rest of the truck was all 12 volt. The only 24 volt systems I have seen in my life was military vehicles. You might want to clarify your experience a bit....

The option I went for was a 12V to 110V AC converter... I picked up a 200Watt unit from Walmart for $40. It has 2 outlets, and can be used for other appliances, besides the laptop.

Yes all of them, but they may be 24 volt output.
Most truck are 24 volt systems, but they may be fitted with a splitter to drop the cigarette lighter socket to 12 volts.
You need to ask.

Like cars, it depends on the rig... go ahead and get the item. Adding a lighter plug is no big deal (costs about $10 and takes about 15 minutes).

100% sure they do and I don't drive them. You would put plugs on a rig you drive all over the place for all those fun electronic thingys.
