He hasn't played a single game out of 15 this season. Anyone know what his "personal reason" is?

He has a daughter with severe medical needs. She lives on a breathing and feeding tube. She will never get better. It is how she will live her life. She is under medical care 24 hours a day 7 days a week at the Horry's home in Houston.
Anyway, Robert Horry showed up for training camp but then his daughter took a turn for the worse and was hospitalized. So he left training camp and stayed by her bedside in Houston. He came back for the ring ceremony in San Antonio and went back to Houston.
When she was good enough to be released from the hospital. He came back to the Spurs to work out and train. He injured a hamstring.
So the reason he isn't playing the last two weeks is because of the hamstring. The reason he wasn't playing before that is because he was being a Dad to a very sick little girl.

I don't believe he has any "personal reason", he's just at that stage in his career where he's mostly a situational player and a good locker room influence. plus with the record the spurs have right now they're in no rush to put him out there when they've been handling their competition the way they have. He will suit up eventually and play, but this is his last season as a pro and most likely is not going to push any of the coaches to play him and stay ready till they need him.

Robert Horry is a great player, i saw him in street clothes against the Rockets... Dont worry he will be back... Even if it is in the end of the season... Thats when he is good anyways... I have his autographed Rookie card!! Good luck Spurs!
