It probably will whenever our system becomes less corrupt. Science has answered so many questions since the wade verdict.

The answer to your question is very simple. Quite easily! The current party in power had complete control of both houses of govt. from the year ,January 2000 to January 2007. That party is the REPUBLICAN PARTY! The party of VALUES, AND MORALITY! At any given time, during that period, legislation could have been introduced to repeal Roe V. Wade. The repeal could not have been stopped! Also, during that period, two new ultra conservative Supreme Court Justices were appointed by Bush , slanting the Supreme court to the conservative majority. The reason this did not happen, is because the republican party people wish to appear anti-abortion, or pro-life,as an issue to run on for their conservative evangelical base. They realize that if the abortion Roe.V. Wade was repealed, none of them would ever be re-elected! However, they can always bring it up that they are pro-life Their Hypocrisy has no end! My point is, if you profess an endorsement for the abolition of a procedure which you believe and profess to be wrong, how then, when you have the opportunity to do away with this law,and you have the votes to make it a reality, can you do nothing??? Life begins at conception, however, a fetus becomes a baby only at birth. Before birth it is still a fetus!! Abortion is a legal procedure to abort a pregnancy. Murder is a crime!! There is a very distinctive difference between the two. One is legal the other is illegal!! If the govt in our country would make readily availalbe ALL forms of contractive materials without RELIGIOUS, and MORAL interupatations, abortion rates would be reduced by 80%.. Which way do we want it, I'm confused, I dont think you can have it both ways???

"Can" it be reversed? Sure, the Supreme Court doesn't reverse itself often, but sometimes it does.

Will it be?

Personally I doubt it. A lot of people are unhappy with Roe, but there's nearly as many that think it's TOO restrictive as there are that think it isn't restrictive enough.

I think it's more likely that the court will maybe snip around the edges a little. Maybe address partial birth abortion, maybe some movement one way or the other on abortion rights for minors. I don;t see any "big" changes being likely in the near future.

Of course, if we get three or four back to back Democratic administrations and the courts makeup changes dramatically, then there might be a major change in a decade or so, maybe even a finding that there's an unlimited right to an abortion at all stages of pregnancy.

You think if Roe v. Wade were reversed women wouldn't find other ways to have abortions? I wouldn't have an abortion myself, but I believe in a womans right to choose.

Yes it can be reversed, it't like any other Supreme Court decision, it can be overturned.

Obviously yes it can.

The Supreme Court upheld slavery at one time, so they can change their collective minds and say "UP" is "DOWN" if they want to do so.

But with that same ruling as a yardstick, just because the Supreme Court says something is so.....that doesn't make it right, or moral, or anything else except legal in the United States.
