My fiance is in the air force so i have MONTHS to sometimes a year (maybe longer) with him not home...so I know how you feel...

When I know he is going away for deployment ahead of time, I get a part time job (along with keeping my full time job) and whatever I earn from that goes into saving for something that he really wants-like for instance, last time I bought him a 72" television. Time before that I had him take an additional two weeks off besides the two they gave him to get accommodated back to home life and took him on a vacation to Jamaica.

I also started taking night classes and spent a lot of time with friends and family.

Other nights I would just stay home and clean the house or have my "girl" nights where I give myself a manicure/pedicure, take a bubble bath, and things like that. Concentrate on yourself, your friends and family, and get some other things going that can occupy your time-such as another job or hobby.

My husband works daytime so I couldn't really try to be in your shoes. I know what I do during the day though. I do my housework, read awhile, go on yahoo q&a, and than it's time to start dinner. Sounds boring but it's not. When it's nice enough outside I work around the yard also.

I'd try to get ajob same time as his so we get the same schedule.
Or I'd do something until I feel tired and sleep. Then wake up when he gets home, feed him and sleep with him if I don't have a job.
If I have a 9 to 5 job then I would sleep early and wake up really early, get ready when he gets bacK!

I would play World of Warcraft, hang out with friends and take some classes in a community college (dancing, aerobics, pottery, fencing or history).

Clean, watch tv,read, eat and sleep. Get up early and greet him at the door with a smile and a kiss. Don't forget to thank him for all his hard work.
