I'm not, never could stand it. Just a good excuse for time off work and getting drunk. How about yourself? Love it or loathe it?

I love it. Love Christmas Eve, getting a few drinks down me and heading home on the train. Loathe it when I wake up on Christmas morning with a steaming hangover...such is life.

It's for kids anyway. That's what makes it special.

Most of you would probably call me a 'Golden Oldie' but I still absolutely L O V E Christmas. I go over the top with gifts I admit but still like to recall why it is celebrated and give a percentage of what I spend in gifts to a charity where I know it will be spent very wisely. Suppose I am neither your really good Christian (as I would spend less on gifts and give more to charity) or extremely commericalised in my ways. It's a real family time and I am so fortunate we have a happy family as I know others may not..........saying that by the end of the 12 days of Christmas we can be fed up looking at each other. I especially love the big Christmas tree up and all the pressies under it. I could sit for hours in our lounge with just the tree lights and music on leading up to Christmas. Being Scottish of course we also have a ball at Hogmanay and for at least the week after........really feel sorry for any country that doesn't have the New Year celebrations as we do. Unbelievable England is so near and yet many have to return to work on 2 Jan. Some do here too but it is a minority and more essential workers.

I like the fact that I get time off work. Seeing as I'll be spending Christmas alone though it doesn't really put much Christmas cheer in me. A take out pizza and a couple of beers for Christmas dinner for this lonely man.

Loathe, I feel like a hypocrite. I am not religious so therefore why do I bother? I do it for my kids, Christmas to me is all about the children if it wasn't for them it would be an awful time. Most familes sit around watching TV, sleeping, eating, moaning about the TV, more sleeping and more eating. Boring boring boring. And for those that have large familes (I don't) I'm sure it's much the same. I believe the Scots know how to celebrate Christmas!

Christmas its self, I love it. All of the commercialism around it sucks! I also work for a city and spent the better part of the last two weeks hanging decorations up and down our streets. That was hard work, and I didn't enjoy it one bit; however if it makes the day for one child I guess it was worth it...oh crap...I just thought of something! Those fool things need to come back down after New Years!!!

I'm looking forward to it this year. I'm not very religious so I'm enjoying spending time with my family, and no college :).
Plus this year, instead of being all 'Oh I don't know what I want for xmas, whatever you get me will be fine' I've given out what i want, this year I have actually found things that I want. As last year was a bit of a disaster, I learnt my lesson on being vague.
I also think I've gotten my friends and boyfriend some really good gifts that I think they'll like, so I'm looking forward to hearing their reactions. =]
So love it.

I wasn't looking forward to it until I booked a holiday to cheer myself up.
But i've just found out that there aren't any late trains to get us home from the airport which is around 250 miles away.
So we'll be stranded on christmas eve with the only hope of getting home being to hitch a lift with santa...

I just LOVE Christmas, even though I'm an Atheist, well, it brings back all those happy memories of childhood, and you just can't disregard happiness. To me it's all about families getting together, ours always have a fantastic time, from the turkey to the party games, wouldn't be without it for the world, I guess I'm an old softie at heart!

I loathe Christmas.
I love Christmas.
I just can't pick one answer, that's what you call ambivalence.
Always look forward to Christmas coming, and I'm always glad when its over for the year.
This is enough to make anyone feel like their going crazy.
love, loathe, love, loathe, love, loathe..........Arrrrh !
