I've given her tyelnol, also I'ver given her the teething ring. I have tried a few other things, but she just wants me to constantly hold her I can barely set her down for more than a min. I know its not good to always hold your baby and I dont but she is just miserable I feel so bad!

At Wal-mart they have teething tablets that dissolve in the baby's mouth. You get them in the vitamins section near the pharmacy. They are natural remedies ;)

Oh isn't teething so much fun! Mine all started to teeth around three months.

However, depending on the age, try things such as baby panadol, frozen washclothes, frozen bananas are fabulous and if it gets really bad and she is simply not getting enough sleep, get her some Painstop or Fenergen. Use it sparingly and only when you both need to sleep. It will knock her out but you both need to be lucid to handle her pain.

And most importantly, huggles are the best medicine. I know when my kids are really sick because all they want is to be held. Let the house get messy, let the washing pile up, call in a favour or two from friends. It will get better.

There's nothing wrong with holding your baby! Babies have a physical NEED to be close and snuggled. You will not spoil her by holding and hugging her, especially if she doesn't feel good!

My daughter is teething also, and nighttime is especially bad. Try cold/frozen washcloths to chew on. I've also heard great things about Hyland's Teething Tablets, and as soon as I can get my hands on some, I'll be trying them!

Try these water toys for babies. Put it in the freezer for a few minutes and then give it to the baby to bite. The cold will calm her down.
Also, at any drugstore you can find these little white pills called Humphrey's. You can give three pills to the baby disolved in a teaspoon of water. This is if you don't mind giving something to your baby without the approval of your doctor. But I have used them with my three kids and they work great. They are made out of chamomille.
For the fever I always try Tylenol for babies (Tempra).
Hope this helps you...

Try giving her a vibrating teething ring... they are fabulous.

Also I use Baby Orajel.. I'm not sure if you've used it.. but it only take a small bit to numb the gums and provides temporary relief for your baby. I wouldn't recommend using is very often.. but occasionally is just fine.

First of all, it IS good to hold your baby a lot, so if that's what she needs to help her feel better, then go ahead and hold her! You could try different types of teethers, but some babies aren't very interested in them.

How old is she? If she's more than 8-9 months or so, frozen peas or frozen blueberries are great.

I know some people that used to freeze the big pickles and would freeze them and have their children suck on them. I would also try the vibrating teeth ring, baby orajel, or give them a bottle or paci to suck in.

Try putting a clean (of course lol) wet washcloth in the freezer then give it to her and let her chew it. It worked for my kids. I also used cold carrots until they got all their front teeth.
