In the pres. succession line,v.p.,speaker,senate pres.,etc. Why is the chief justice of the supreme court not in that list? Some of those ranked 13th or 14th would not know more than the chief justice, or am I incorrect? Thanks for the help!

I believe I head one time that Chief Justice isn't on the list so that the "would be new President" wouldn't have any unnatural pull over the court.

It keeps the high court independent -- as independent as it can be.

yes but people like the agruculture are at the end like 20th so he must be a redneck who is just smarter than bush
