I suggest writing a bit slower this time so you dont get any aches. Try a pen which has soft rubber where you hold it and one this is rounded. Any pens with angles/corners where you hold them will eventually dig into your fingers and make them sore!! Good luck in your detention..maybe the real answer to this question is not to get into detention in the first place! It will never look good on your records for college..university etc! Trust me these little things, make big differences!

I like the Pilot G-2 05. It has a soft grip and I love the gel ink. You could bring several different styles and alternate. That might help. Personally, I would get some pens with different colors of ink and then try different kinds of hand writing (like old man, bubbly cheerleader, sullen emo girl, fancy shmancy society broad, etc.) - my hand may not feel better, but at least I'd have more fun!
*high five Andee on the Pilot G2!!!*

If you don't have a certain amount of lines to write, i would suggest writing slower. If you do, however, try different writing styles, come up with some funky characters, the change will help because your hand will be making different movements, rather than the same repetitive task over and over again, not to mention, create something new to look at.

Hmmm...start being a good girl for starters and you won't have to worry but, anyway, they make some "cushioned" pens that have a soft gel-like area where you hold it for people who write alot - they're not expensive and you can get them ay Office Works

Go to the school nurse and complain and ask for a pen that is not causing injury or pain or you will refuse to do it and your parents are concerned of carpal tunnel syndrome. It can happen!
