Because they do not have God in their lives. If they did, they would know that marriage is sacred and that their vows before God is serious.
It should never be about money. To some men it is only a piece of paper because they are bitter. They may have their reasons, but I can bet it is because they will not submit to God.
Just keep your head up and if you want to find you a good man, then go for a man that truly has God in his life. He will treat you good and honor you.

There are 2 reasons. One that is common around the world, that is because they just don't want to commit because they like their freedom or just have a girlfriend. The other reason and this is for the specific qusetion of why american men don't want to get married, is because there is no benefit at all on getting married. Between being single and being married for a man, is a lot better than being single. Why do we need a document signed that will give the power to someone to take half of our belongins or what we have worked for?, why would we sign a document to just in case divorce happens, we have to pay ailmony until the day we die?. There are other reasons, but I think with that I kind of give you and idea to your question. Also, if there is a benefit for man to get married, let me know which one is, or just send me an email if I'm missing the point.

I'm married to an American man. My friends are married to American men. All of my female relatives and neighbors are married to American men. I have no idea what you're talking about.

Because it is cheaper and less emotional draining not to do so. Now in America people would get divorced over the silliest thing, so why put yourself in the position to be divorced. FYI, it is not all American men who don't want to be married.

Because there are no benefits to marriage for men in America. It is all about the woman. From the wedding ceremony to the divorce, it all caters to the wants and demands of the woman. She wants her wedding a certain way and plans the entire day all for herself. When it comes time for divorce, she keeps the kids, takes half his stuff, and is set up to be paid (child support) until the kids are 18. Where in that mix do you see how a guy could possibly benefit? Everything he enjoys about the relationship is attainable prior to getting married. Marriage is an institution set up to benefit women and divorce lawyers.

Why in the world would they want to when women galore are willing to have sex without commitment?
I mean thats most guys dream, sex and no commitment of ANY kind.When women have sex without getting married this is EXACTLY what they are giving the guy and the guy sees no need to get married then.
They KNOW they can use women, MANY women for sex because the women are all volunteering honey moon try outs.
Thats like getting free 16 ounce steak samples at the resturant, why buy a cow when you can get the milk free?

I'll give you the reason why. It's because of feminism. You see, over the years, feminism has virtually destroyed the family unit. Feminism has taught to be independent and not need a man over the years. Because of this, one of the biggest results of feminism is no-fault-divorce in our legal system. It taught women that if they're not happy in their marriage or if they're bored, they can get a divorce. Let's talk about child support & alimony payments. In this nation, the legal system is full of feminists and is stacked against men, as well as ex-wives using their children as pawns to keep them away from their father. You see, when you study the bible, you see the effect woman had on man, especially in Genesis Ch:3. What man in his right mind wants to deal with this only to have his wife selfishly & rebelliously divorce him & destroy the family all because she's bored? See, the body of Christ doesn't speak on this in church, but I gaurentee you this is happening everyday.

because women have gained way too much power and men have been stereotyped as being rude insensitive cheating pigs. So what do you expect? Women are getting what they asked for the day the started treating men like garbage.
I don't blame men who don't want to get married. being treated badly, never being able to understand the storm that goes from sun to thunder in a second in women's brain and always being in the wrong no matter what? Women have been playing men for so long that now they find themselves alone. Of course those who will disagree with me will invoke their sensitivity and their emotional needs along with the best one of all ... they being "victims" ... good luck.
Reading above ... my point exactly. men are all about their money, don't know God, don't believe in vows so they will automatically cheat ... as I said. Stereotypes. for the new generation women, men are worthless pigs and women are perfect. There you have it.

lot of reason..some because the don't want to lose half there stuff in divorce.. some because they have not found who they want to marry..and some of them will marry a lamp post if it would say yes

Wow... what part of America are you in?
I know several guys who would love to find and marry their soul mate. Most of my male friends are either married, engaged, or looking... I can't think of any who do not want to get married sooner or later.
