Most likely Green party.

Why not an independent individual with absolutely no party affilitation with any party? Has there ever been someone that tried to run for president with this aspect?

"The majority of the country is either Republican or Democrat. We have a two-party system which keeps other parties from barely causing a ripple in the pool of politics. Most people will vote for one of the two parties. It's just how our country is."

Correction, the majority of the country that votes. Those who don't vote vastly out number those who do vote.

In response to what you replied, yes I know that. Of course, I was talking about those who vote. Those who don't vote do it out of ignorance or indifference.

That they aren't going to win.

Even Kang and Kodos (the aliens on The Simpsons) understand this, "Go ahead, throw away your vote" (then they gave there protracted evil laugh). Most people understand that Independents don't stand a chance, so a vote cast for an independent not only is one less vote for the Republican or Democrat that you like best, it's also has the same affect as one more vote for the Democrat or Republican you dislike the most. My girlfriend ALWAYS votes for the leading Independent in the Presidential General Election, I try not to discourage her since she has a lot of Liberal tendencies and might end up voting for a Democrat if some kook Independent doesn't make it to the General Elections.

That's what you believe because you see it on TV. The elections are fixed. Most people think that if the election were fixed it would be all over the news... is that an irony or what?
