i am 20w1d today i have my us on dec 4 i will be 21 weeks then so i will def. find the sex of the baby right?? what else do they do? like what is it like this is my first us!! tell me ur experiences!!

They will measure the baby to make sure that the baby is growing the way that it is supposed to. You should be able to find out the sex of the baby, as long as the baby is in the right postion. I went in for my 20 week appt. hoping to find out what I was having and they weren't able to tell me so I had to wait 2 months. I go back tomorrow at 28 weeks hoping to find out this time.

I just had my 20-week ultrasound yesterday. This is my 2nd pregnancy. I'm having a boy. With my daughter, she wouldn't show us anything and we had to wait until 7 months to find out if she was a boy or a girl. They will be checking all of the organs and taking pictures of them and the measurements, such as the heart, liver, lungs, etc. It's a lot of fun and see if your husband can come in the room with you to watch. It takes about 30-45 minutes for the tech to check all the organs. Good luck!

I have me u/s this friday and will be 19 weeks 3 days. I will find out to sex then. You will be able to see the sex and the dr will give you some pics from the u/s to keep. They will check the baby and see how he or she is growing and check the heart. Its a very neat experience.

its really simple you just lay there while the tech looks for the baby i went today at 19 weeks 3 days to find out the sex but the babies legs were crossed so she gave me 90% change its a girl from what she could see the baby was laying first on its belly then when she finally got her to roll over she had her legs crossed just my luck

I'm having my u/s on Dec 4th. I will be 19w 1d then. I hope that the baby is in the right spot so I can find out the sex. Can't wait. Good luck with yours.

they'll measure all the relevant details, amniotic fluid, baby size, heart, etc, to determine how well baby is growing. they'll confirm or change your due date; do all the usual stuff; and see if it's a boy or girl.
