If you got this check from anyone asking you to wire a portion of it back to them, then it is a scam. Don't deposit any check unless it's from something you sold, someone you know, or your employer.

Huh. You got check, it was returned, and you have another check or are asking if the fake check is a fake check?
Sorry confusing question.
Take it to your bank and ask them to verify if the check is good. They can tell you, or call Chase.
If you have an indication this is fraud or paid to get this check, you had better be careful as you might be considered a participant, not a victim.
