means someone is talking about you. It doesn't have to be bad.

I know someone is supposed to be talking about you if your ears are burning, but not sure about itching.

I think
left ear is bad
right ear is good
and both means company has arrived or two are having an argument about you.

It's when your ears are "burning" that somebody is talking about you. If they itch, it means you have the flu.
