Just yesterday I was hanging out with my friends at the mall. Everything seemed normal and perfect being that we were at our favorite place, doing our favorite thing---> Shopping! Then out of no where, someone started shooting. The shots were so loud and felt like it was right by my ear. I was running and had no idea where too. Everyone was running and screaming. Mothers and their children, etc. It was so scary. Like something in a movie. I mean you turn on the Tv and heard about crime all day. But you never think that one day you'll be caught in the middle of it or even a victim of it.

It's strange how we wake up everyday...and not have the slightest clue on whats gonna happen to you or where. I woke up monday morning to get an earlier start on my christmas shopping and I would never imaged almost being shot. Thank god no one was seriously hurt. But what if? There was so many people, moms and their kids. It just sorta makes you think. This world is so crazy!

Yes. It happened with me in 1967In India, I was returning from Badrinath to Joshimath on foot as there was a landslide and road transport had stopped. These hilly places are in Mt.Everest.As my Sherpa moved ahead faster, I was walking the road alone. On my left was a tall hill and to my right was deep ravine.Suddenly small and medium sized stones started rolling down the hill on my left, and going down the ravine over my head at a height of some15/20 feet. I was stunned and perplexed, not knowing what I should do.I crouched.Suddenly a quite big rock, almost 4feet by 5 feet passed over my head barely 3or 4 feet above my head and fell in the ravine making terrific sound while striking trees and other rocks. When the rock falls stopped, I resumed my journey thinking that a human being is nothing in the face of nature. Had I been hit by that rock, all those qualities in me for which I am so proud would have vanished in a second. The incidence brought a drastic change in my nature. I have stopped being proud of anything in me.I have no jealousy.I keep in mind the uncertainty of life always.
