I've heard many say that Drew Bledsoe is worthy of a Hall of Fame induction and is said to be one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. He threw 45 completions in one game in 1994, which is the single game record. He's been out with injuries, which is the reason that is sustaining him from the greatest honor. Tom Brady of the New England Patriots and Tony Romo of the Dallas Cowboys both inherited their starting quarterback job from Drew Bledsoe.
But then there have been his con's. Many say that he would've cost the Patriots their first Super Bowl year, if not for Brady to be substituted after Bledsoe got injured. I've also heard that the Dallas Cowboys would've made it and maybe even won the Super Bowl, if not for their quarterback hopes in Bledsoe.
In your opinion, is this man a great and honorable quarterback or is he thumbs down? And does he deserve a Hall of Fame induction?
By the way, if you know where he is at this moment, can you please say so? Thank you.

By where he is at this moment, I don't mean where in the world he is and what he is doing, so don't give me dirt for that. I mean what is his current NFL status. I looked on his sports profile online which said the Dallas Cowboys, but on Wikipedia, it says that they cut him from the team and unable to find a new job, Bledsoe retired from the NFL. So what is his current status in the NFL and if he's on a team, which?

Many patriots haters are so uneducated about NFL history that they dont even know about the Drew Bledsoe era in New England. I even heard one guy claim that they didnt make the playoffs for 15 years (1986-2001) which thanks to Bledsoe and Parcells is completely inaccurate.
The success that the Patriots franchise is experiencing today is thanks in large part to what Bledsoe accomplished in his career. Many think it was Tom Brady that revitalized the franchise but in fact it was Bledsoe.
When he was drafted in 93 the franchise was a mess and because of the competitiveness in the boston sports market didnt have enough interest. Bledsoe changed all that. Until Brady came along Bledsoe was by far the best player in the franchises history.
Bledsoe led the patriots to the playoffs in only his second hear in the NFL and had them in the superbowl by his fourth year, only the second time in franchise history.
Unfortunately the style of play passed bledsoe by in the late 90s and the team had to go in a different direction but true patriots fans like myself will never forget the contributions that Drew Bledsoe made to the history of the franchise. Thanks Drew.

I Liked him at Washington State way back in the stone age.
Bledsoe retired after being cut by the cowboys and whats amazing is that with all the quarterback problems and injuries in the NFL this season I have not heard of any team calling him up as even a back up. Jeeeeeesh they even brought back Vinnie T. and hes like 100 years old.
I think Bledsoe was a bust in the second half of his pro career and cant give him hall of fame consideration.

Bledsoe gave the Patriots' fans hope for many years. He was not, however, much of a team player. The same offensive line that allowed him to get hit protected Brady really well. Bledsoe tended to blame others for the loss, rather than take responsibility. This does not promote good team chemistry. I am surprised that you really don't hear his name much at all, anymore.

He is Drew Bledsoe. Enough said.
The man deserves to be in the HOF, no doubt, and despite what all these jokers on here are saying, he will be.
He did retire, incidentally.

Very good qb and being a pats fun he was so fun to watch for many years. Granted he cost his teams games by just throwing the ball as hard as he could anywhere but that is what i loved aboout him. Not a Hall of Famer though

He was fun to watch in his hay day with the Patriots, after that things went down hill in Buffalo and Dallas.
In all I'm just happy to see that he's not on the Cowboys any more.

When he had a great offensive line, and was able to stand in the pocket, he was as good as they come. The problem is he would be on mediocre teams and play in games that forced him to scramble a lot. As for his career, I think he is a Hall of Fame QB due to the many years he played and had success.

He was a good....but never great......QB. He was constantly supplanted by younger, better QBs for a reason. I believe he was one of the ultimate Journeyman QBs....
And I don't think you should get in the hall for being good.....you need to be great. He seems like a good guy, and a great backup....as long as you have a good O-line......
And he is retired as of now, if I recall correctly.

good quarterback in his day, should have never came back after brady took his job, all he has done since is tarnish his earlier accomplishments.
he might go into the hall as the easiest sacked qb ever. a stiff breeze would knock him down

Drew Bled-so-much that he lost his job in NE to Tom Brady.....then he lost his job in Buffalo.....then he lost his job in Dallas.......
He was a good QB for several years, but I wouldn't call his career great. I don't feel he's worthy of a HOF bust.
