Why even bother engaging in dialog if you get bombed no matter what anyway?
But let me say this: It is like a foreign nation bombing Los Angeles because of a gangster problem...
Anyway... I'm not a practicing Muslim (I'm Atheist), though I come from a family thats embarrassingly Islamic... sometimes I think it is no wonder they get bombed... they just can't keep their mouths shut and accept that this is not their world...

You are embarrassed that your family is Islamic... why do you care... it is not you.
Anyways, to answer the question, George Bush Jr cares. He cares more than anyone realizes. He cares so much that he invaded Iraq to control the oil. Why does their oil have anything to do with what they say or think? Because Saddam had changed from selling oil in US Dollars to Euros and several nations were about to follow his lead. What did this mean? It meant that the US was about to no longer be a superpower if this happened.
So you bet your bottom dollar the US cares what the Arab community thinks.

Most definitely. I care to have a planet with a population who can live in peace next to each other. I care that my neighbors down the street get to enjoy the same rights and freedoms that I do.
Good thing there are people like me, or else you might not have grown up to become an atheist.
If we don't strive to achieve peace, we will create a self-fulfilling prophecy of hatred and violence.

We should care what the Islamic/Arab community thinks because it is this community's support (or lack thereof) that will determine the effectiveness of extremist organizations like Al Qaeda. It is from this community that they recruit terrorists, raise money, obtain cover/hiding places, weapons etc. Additionally, if the Islamic community were to adopt an anti-extremist view, this community could help track down and eliminate terrorist organizations and individuals.

Not really but they have oil and "sacred piece of land", whatever that means so we fake interest like I do with my wife. I can't imagine what she could be faking me with.
