No. They have had a good chance since they decided to get A-rod. They are getting older and with every passing day, their skill diminishes more and more. They Yankee era is over. It's now time for the Red Sox and Indians to stand in the spotlight. The Yankees, ladies and gentlemen, are done until they get some YOUTH in the lineup.

Of Course they do they're the Yankees. If they got some young studs who can pitch 8 innings every time, and let up 3 or less innings, the Yankee offense will pick up and score 7. I can tell you right now that the Yankees will win less that 98 games next season, but they will get the Wild Card by a smidge. (.5-1 game) and they will make the playoffs and maybe get to the ALCS.

They always have a good shot. They have some good young pitchers who will be key, ARod is now entrenched and not a stress factor, Santana may come on board. Overall, I think BoSox are still the dominant team in the AL East.

They will be contenders next year as they usually are, year after year. Yankees will always be a contender for their division, wild card & the play-offs. So yes they do stand a chance next year.

They have an excellent chance, now that they got rid of the Curse of Donnie Baseball. Plus their young players will have another year under their belts, and what are the chances of most of the pitching staff getting hurt in a two-month stretch again? They'll be ready, and they're as much a viable World Series favorite as anybody.

Well, every team has a chance, if you think about it. I'm not a Yankees fan, but I would say if they keep Santana, they'll have a better chance than if they don't.

I think they are a trade away from having a great shot but they need Santana to stabilize that rotation. The only thing is that they could be mortgaging the future for instant success and that is what got them in trouble to begin with.

Yankees management has demonstrated their willingness to spend money to field a winning team and because of this they will always be in the mix for a championship. Notice I didn't say they would win every year but they will be competitive every year.

deffinatly, they're the yankees and if they keep all of their young guys, girardi will be able to really make the whole thing work, because hes good at communicating with the young ones.

No- I know that the Yankees haven't even been to the world series in seven years and that is there second largest gap to even go to the series let alone even win. And second of all the Red Socks are the best team in the majors.
