I only watch movies. I never turn on the TV or read the papers. if i see any news its just by coming across it on the internet or word of mouth. Is this bad or good?

Both:
Good: You are unplugged from a lot of propaganda
You most likely get more active time than the average person
Your eyes are under less strain
Bad: You are probably ill-informed on current events as compared to the average joe.
sounds like a fair trade to me.

In my personal opinion bad. Tv is terrible for your eyes, but in today's society you need to be in touch with the world and the best way is through tv. Unless you are a very sociable person. But then you will always have to say, "I have not heard about that" and then hear really long stories about this and that. It will get old really fast.

Good - most television programming is boring and repetitive, and watching TV is essentially a passive experience. TV doesn't intellectually challenge you or force you to grow or experience anything genuinely new.

i havent watched tv in 5 years...i only watch movies too and i read news online or hear it from my parents or friends...it is perfectly normal and actually better since tv kills brain cells anyway

Most of what you see on the news, at least on the major networks, is liberal propaganda, so it's good that you don't watch that.
