I am about 6 weeks pregnant and have been experiencing sharp pains on both my sides but mostly above or on my right hip that come and go. I have slight cramping and feel like someone is pulling at my uterus. I have back aches too and a lot of gas. My question is is this a sign of ectopic? or could it be just gas? Oh yeah I should probably say this is my 4th pregnancy (had a miscarrige with the 3rd in August 2006) and am extremely worried. I would think as long as I'm not bleeding I should be fine right? Please help thanks in advance!

I miscarried in June and I experienced this too before I began bleeding. My baby was fine after but I was put on bed-rest and then lost him 10 days after I started bleeding. I would definitely got to the doctor.

Let us all not panic at once. My opinion is I hope you have a Primary Care Physician, Gynecologist. You need to clearly document and in certain cases moment by monent/ play by play signs and syptoms that you experience. There is nothing worse than you or your companion going to see your doctor's and not being able to tell them everything that has occurred or that you have experience up until this point in time. The more information you write down the better. A very impoprtant book you should have also at this stage is a book called, ( What to expect, when your expecting). This is a very informative and resourceful book that will answer questions that the average John or Jane on Yahoo can't answer. Now, if you experience symptoms and observing signs that are not only unusual but painful then by all means, seek medical attention immediately.

as long as your not bleeding you should be fine, my pregnancy before this one was also a miscarriage and im not going to tell you to not worry, because you will but i found it helpful to take one day at a time... i have to confess that i did always go checking for blood when i felt like that now i know its just the leech growing lol and im healthy so is the baby....

Go see a doctor. Just because you aren't bleeding doesn't necessarily mean everything is ok. It very well could be just gas but its better to know for sure. Good luck!!!!

SORRY SWEETIE BUT IT COULD BE AN EPTOPIC PREGNANCY. BUT THERE IS A CHANCE THAT IT MIGHT BE YOUR BABY TRYING TO FIND A NICE PLACE TO SLEEP LIKE THE DOCTOR TOLD ME. I AM 8 WEEKS AND I STILL HAVE PAINS HERE AND THERE BUT I AM HAVING A NORMAL PREGNANCY. SO DON'T GET YOUR HOPES DOWN.. JUST THINK POSITIVE LIKE I DID. MY DOCTOR TOLD ME I MIGHT BE HAVING AN EPTOPIC PREGNANCY AND IT TURNED OUT TO BE A NORMAL PREGNANCY.

well first off...if you've had a miscarriage before then you are at risk for another one...so go to your dr just to be sure....that would be the first thing i did!....but i think its stretching ...making more room for baby..i had same thing...but you can never be to sure...!! good luck!!
