I saw him on TNA last week. Does anyone know why he left WWE? I apologize if this has been asked already, but I haven't been in the loop.

Crude is right. Tna is criticised as a save haven for drug abusers in wwe.

He left because he had enough of the way WWE were doing things,he had a fight with Batista,he wanted to leave Raw and go to Smackdown because Raw is full of backstage politics and he wasn't too keen on his King Booker gimmick.
I also heard he left because he was suspended for supposedly using steroids and when he came back it wasn't the same with people being a bit cold towards him or somehting like that.
He has also got a wrestling promotion and a small shop so he wanted to have a lighter schedule so he could take care of them and still wrestle but everyone knows TNA are the only ones who really care about their talent and offered him a lighter schedule.
Quite a few reasons to leave if you ask me.

He left for several reasons. He was not happy that he got suspended and Randy Orton did not even though both were mentioned in the pharmacy probe. He was not happy with the way the WWE was using him which was a big reason he left. Others seem to think its because the WWE has the drug testing and TNA doesn't. I don't think that has much to do with it. He also wanted a lighter schedule so he could have more time for his wrestling school / wrestling promotion that he runs. The WWE would not give him a lighter schedule and TNA did.

Booker T was using illegal drugs which was against the wellness code of the WWE, he quit becuase he couldn't handle taking all those drug tests and failing especially after he got suspended for 60 days, so he bailed..

Booker got suspended 60 days for using steroids. Booker was already ticked at WWE so he quit.

I think he used drugs, he got suspended, but he must've just ignored it and went to TNA, thank god for us

booker t was suspended from raw for usin steroidsss. and when he came back, he was mad. and left to tnaaa! lolll!
