Is there a service where no-realtors can get extended information about a listing, such as the date the listing went up and the original price it went on the market for?

Nope. That information is confidential and available only to registered members of the local MLS where the property was listed. If you really want the information, simply obtain a real estate license, and then pay the approximate $1200 plus monthly fees required of each member to maintain those records and systems.

Not sure what Sophie T. is talking about, but that info doesn't appear in the DesertArea MLS either.

our MLS gives you that information - it's available to the public, but only for active listings. Once they close or expire, then you can't access that information, only MLS members. You can be an affiliate and get access, but you have to pay for that.
