Will a Wireless G Router work with my Xbox 360? i need something that would connect my Xbox 360 to my router (in another room) and then to the internet.

Now, will it make a difference if i mix brands like TP-Link and Linksys?

If is in a different room, you should use a wireless adapter. Once you install the wireless adapter, you put in the password the router uses for security and then click Connect. Like the first respondant said, you hook it up just like a computer you would add to the network. Simple.

You can get a wireless adapter for the Xbox from Microsoft that will allow you to do that.

Connect it normally like you would a PC.
