Infertile???

Question

I am only 16 and alot of people will think i am stupid and immature and i dont know what im getting my self into but thats not what i am asking!! my boyfriend is 23 and has 2 children from previous relationships we have both recently been tested for std's and we are both clean, how ever we have had unprotected sex on many occasions a few i was ovulationg and i havent become pregnant?? please help

You're young. There's only a 20-25% chance of conception each cycle. And yes, I think you're way too immature to handle a child, and I also think your 'boyfriend' is playing with fire.

Im 27 now with a 5 month old little girl. From the age of about 17 I used to worry about the same thing as you and would even 'forget' to take my pill for many weeks to test if I could get pregnant with no thought about what I would do if it actually happened! I uses to cry at night worrying why it hadn't happened!

The thing is getting pregnant takes a lot of factors to be in the right place at the right time and you have just been lucky. When I got married and my husband and I decided to try we got pregnant 1st attempt as it was the right time and we were both relaxed.

Your life is your choice and I believe you know what you want I'm sure you'll make the right choice about whether to have a baby now or wait til your a little older..good luck sweetie x

Getting pregnant is sort of like playing Russian roulette. It doesn't matter how fast or slow you pull the trigger, it's just a matter of chance if you get the bullet or not. (Meaning no matter how careful or careless you are with sex, there is always a chance you can and always a chance you won't get pregnant).

And it sounds like both of you are playing with fire.

As someone has already pointed out, he's left two children with a broken home, why would things be any different with your child (because trust us, he loved that other girl just as much as he does you before the breakup).

The other issue might be statutory rape. While the exact age varies by state, many states set 18 as the age of consent... meaning that before age 18, you legally can not consent to sex and therefore anyone who engages in sexual activity with you while you are under age is guilty of rape regardless of your desires/consent/wishes/etc.

you have not gotten prego because your a lucky girl why would you want a kid at 16 with a 23 year old who has left 2 kids what makes you think he is not going to leave you as well????

you might not be infertile, not because you ovulated means you have to conceiev that cycle, just give it some time
