A triangle always has 180 degrees. If two angles are 40 and 47 (a total of 87), then the third anlge of this triangle is 93.
A right angle = 90 degrees
An acute angle = 1 - 89 degrees
An obtuse angle = 91 or more degrees
So.....The third angle is obtuse.
I hope this helps.

Obtuse. The last angle of the triangle would be 93 degrees.
The angles of a triangle add up to 180 degrees. Therefore, a+b+c=180; 40+47+c=180; 40+47+93=180.

If in fact that all the angles of a triangle add up to 180 degrees
then is it not so that two of the angle subtracted from 180 degrees gives you the number of degrees of the third angle.
THUS :::: 180 - ( 47 + 40 ) = 93 degrees
And that looks like an obtuse angle. OK

angles in a triangle always add up to 180 degrees. Since you have already stated 2 angles you can then take these away from 180..
180 - 47 - 40 = 93
An acute angle is an angle measuring under 90 degrees, a right angle is a angle measuring 90 degrees and an obtuse angle is an angle mesuring above 90 (91+).
That means the last angle is an OBTUSE angle as its above 90 degrees.
Hope that helps.

the 2 angles sum to: 40 + 47 = 87
the sum of the angles in a triangle is 180
180 - 87 = 93
so the 3rd angle measures 93 degrees
93 degrees is obtuse...

Well, a triangle angles add to 180. 40 and 47 are the first 2(equal 87 when added), so the other angle equals 93, just obtuse. Hope this helped!!

well since there are 180 degreese in a triangle 40 + 47=87 so 180-87=93 degreese an obtuse angle and obtuse angle is an angle over 90 degreese.
hope this helps
good luck

It has to be an acute angle because if it was obtuse, it wouldn't look like a triangle!!!!! surely it has to be either 40 or 47 degrees as anything else would take away the "triangle look"!!!!!!!!!

easy-
EVERY triangle has a measure of 180 degrees, no exceptions
so its simple math
180-40= 140
140-47= 93
Acute angles are ALWAYS less than 90
Right angles are ONLY 90
Obtuse angles are ALWAYS greater than 90
So the answer is that the third is obtuse

The other angle is 93 (180-40-47), which is obtuse (>90).
