I do leave the door open if I am sure no one is home. While I am not modest, I do believe that going to the bathroom is a private and personal act that need not be shared with others.

Whats the point in shutting it if the house is empty. I only think I close the door if we have guests around.

Yes, but I leave it open "whenever" I can. I don't care for the confinment. If I shut the door its for privacy or to block a view. If I can leave it open I do.
However NOW I will probably have to close it...............................poo!

I sure do, the only time we shut the bathroom door, in our house, is if we are chucking our lodgers out!!!!!

I don't know why but I don't want to risk the chance that someone gets home unexpectedly and I can't finish using the john fast enough to not be seen. =]
