"suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem"

ok, here's my thing. i really don't think whoever said this understands that mind frame. it doesn't feel like a temporary problem. it feels like permanent problem that will forever haunt you. not to mention, it's quite possible that the person might be miserable for the rest of their life. i'm not suicidal or anything. it's something that crossed my mind. that's all.

thoughts/opinions?

personally, i don't believe anyone who commits suicide will go to "hell". i know what the bible says. i think it's wrong. if there is such a thing as "god", he would understand the pain and suffering they were going through and would let them into "heaven" assuming they had a good heart. that's my opinion.

I agree. There is no turning back when it comes to suicide. That's it. You can't come back from the dead. No more chances. Nada. When someone commits suicide, those who commit it rob themselves of a chance to overcome their problems and live a content life, and bring upon their loved ones great grief.

You already know about me, and my past attempt... I won't go in detail about it now... I will sound like a broken record! I understand about that "mindset" though... but it doesn't last long... to people feeling this way, I alway recommend suicide hotlines. They won't solve your problems, but they will shed a little light into your darkness.

Agree. Suicide is never the answer for anything. There is not a problem in the world than cannot be worked out with the right amount of attention and therapy from the right person.

I definately agree. I mean maybe that person will be miserable for the rest of their life if they dont make any changes, but they also need to know that they can make their life better.

suicide results in an eternity in HELL, so I'd say it is the start of a permanent problem to avoid dealing with a temporary problem

suicide is a permanent END to a temporary problem and everything else, it's not a solution.
