The Miami Herald and Palm Beach Post both report that Dolphins RB Ricky Williams has a torn pectoral muscle and will be out for the remainder of the season. The former NFL MVP, a man who once ran for 1,853 yards and 16 touchdowns in one season, finishes his comeback with 15 yards on six carries with a fumble.

Fantasy Analysis
In standard-scoring leagues, he was worth more when he was suspended (zero) than when he came back (minus-1 point). He's a safe drop in all seasonal Fantasy leagues at this point, and expect the Dolphins to rehab him and try and trade him next offseason. Jesse Chatman and Patrick Cobbs are expected to carry the rushing workload for Miami, with Samkon Gado probably getting re-signed soon.

Yeah, hard to say if the conditions contributed to this, or that he just wasn't yet into football shape.

It's a bad year to invest in Dolphin running backs, especially once the Lemon-Beck show started after Green was hurt. They traded Chris Chambers and even Randy McMichael is no longer there. They have no one to stretch the field and keep defenses "honest."

They just don't have enough weapons to make a fantasy RB roster worthy this year.

I'm not a Ricky Williams fan but come on,the footing was lousy, that was the worst playing field ever,it's his first game after being out for a long time, and he's with a team that is winless, did any one really think he was going to break records?

Put a toe tag on him, he's done. What a waste of such a great talent. Ricky could have set so many records in the NFL, but he is relegated to being known as "Reffer Boy".

Samkon Gado must feel like a used government mule by now.

if some fool actually picked him up and thought he was going to score them points in fantasy, then they must be that guy that basically donates his money to the cause every week
