Hasn't it occurred to anyone that running a government often makes one wealthy/powerful? Its called having a job that pays.
Honestly, do you want a street bum running a government? Do you want someone who can't hold a job? Do you really want someone with no experience running anything?
The things that make someone a good leader for something like a nation seem to also be around the rich/powerful as well. Maybe it just makes sense.

FDR brought this country out of the Depression with Radical changes. Granted I don't think the parties are defined as they were in the 20-30's .
What we really need now is a Person regardless of party that will put Middle America 1st. Main St over Wall St The Economy working for the people not the people working for the economy...
Sorry Ron Paul supports. I like the man but his economic policy's would make our economy worse.

Abraham Lincoln, widely reputed to be the best US President, was not particularly rich when he ran for office.
Yeah, we all have a right to be cynical at this point, but that only re-enforced the idea that people need to be informed and VOTE.

Great question.........no and I don't see a lot of difference in the democratic / republican parties either........they're all out for the money idol....our freedoms are at stake right now......should we get off this bad road and onto another?
