I personally think you'd be doing your husband a favor if you divorced him. Then he'd have the chance at a DECENT gal. And no, you can't be married to two people at the same time. Polygamy is illegal in North America and Europe. Not to mention how sleazy this whole idea of being married yet having a lover on the side. Oh, yeah, do tell your husband you've been cheating on him. He deserves to know whether or not you gave him a disease.
Let's put it another way. This lover, you only see him for one thing. Sex. Say you do leave your husband, only to find out the lover is a player, abuser, con man, etc. What will you do then? The grass is always greener on the other side. Also, the lover will never be able to trust you, because he knows you are a cheater. He knows there's a great chance you sleep with other guys on him as well. And you know the lover doesn't respect marriage, so you know full well he could cheat on you.
If you do "just disappear" he will probably have a worldwide search for you, and you can get arrested for pulling such a stunt.

You might be able to get away with it, but legally, no, you can't. If the British govt finds out about your Canadian marriage (or vice versa) your British marriage is void.
If you are scared of your husband or something you can file for divorce from Britain. It'll cost you but you don't have to stay in Canada to do it.
Sounds like your British lover doesn't know what he's getting himself into with you. When you leave him in a couple of years and he is left holding the bag he'll wonder what happened. I don't know why either of you would marry anyone since neither of you value marriage at all.
Keep in mind that Canada is a member of the British Commonwealth and their information is freely shared. You PROBABLY will be found out, eventually.

I do not know the law in the U.S, but in Australia having two wives is called Bigamy and not allowed. Do the two wives know about each other? If so, then it is probably a nice arrangement and no-one else's business, If they dont know about each other then John is cheating and they both should be told just what kind of a snake in the grass he really is.

I'm very sure that any marriage be it legit or anything would be void or non-existent because you would be already married in Canada it is illegal in most cases to have more then one spouse if you are planning to leave your first husband why not just get a divorce.

Sure you can marry him, but it won't be legal. You'll be committing bigamy.
