As many of you, if not all know, World War One ended as the armistice was signed by Germany on November 11th, 1918 at 11:00 a.m. (11/11/18 @11:00). Does anyone know the REAL significance behind all the 11's in the date?

they needed a day or so to spread the word, and it was easy to remember the 11th hour of 11th day of the 11th month.
