I am going for my first pap test in a couple weeks. I am 25 and I know that seems old but my husband and I were abstinent before marriage and I was told (by my doctor) that I did not need one until I became sexually active.

We are talking about starting to try to get pregnant and I am wondering if there are any certain questions I should be asking my doctor before she does the pap? Are there certain things she needs to check for? Can she tell if we will have a hard time conceiving or would I have to see a gynaecologist for that?

Yes always ask ask ask and ask!
as you need to... to learn about your body I have 3 children TTC and I still am learning I would research&research as I do and I have learned so much on my own. And I ask my doctor questions but sometimes its hard to remember when your actually there. and you forget.
when you do research... write these questions about what you read about. "Only you really do know your body"
good luck GB

It's good to get all your blood work done before you try for a baby, so if there are any issues, such as anemia, you can "fix" them before a baby is conceived. You also want to start taking prenatal vitamins before trying to conceive. I did this before both pregnancies. Good luck.

their are some test that you can have done to determine if you are fertile or not, but since you haven't tried to get pregnant yet, i dont think you will need those test done. ask your dr about a fertility monitor. it will tell you when you are ovulating and those are the days that you should try to conceive.
