It would be more precise an answer if we knew what bike we're referring to.
In any case,,,the alternator output wires are "ALMOST Universally" either Yellow or White.
But it varies substantially.
Old Triumph, for example?
Blk/Grn&Blk/White&White/Grn
Some small dirt bikes,,a single Red or Blue
Quite a difference from All solid Yellow,or all solid White as you can see.
Some are Single WIRE--1 charging output wire
Some are Single Phase--2 wire
Some are 3 Phase-- 3 wire
Some are Multi Stage,,,,a primary charging coil and a secondary lighting coil to add capacity when Headlites are switched on
Usually,,,"all Charging wires are the same" coming from the alternator
They're equals,electrically.
In such cases it makes no difference.
Same as plugging a lamp into a household light socket---all the receptacles are "the same".
Sorry I cannot be of more help,
but I just dont have enough details or info to tell you exactly which wire is what,,,or where it goes/how to connect it.
Good Luck,,,and be careful

On my stator (1985 Yamaha Virago 700), there are three wires coming out of the stator, and they all look alike. The connector for the regulator rectifier has three inlets.
The advice I got here was that any of the three wires could connect to any of the three inlets. That was good advice. It works.

Typically, there are three wires coming from the stator and it doesn't make any difference in what order they are plugged in, each is providing a set voltage in alternating current, typically 40 volts, and the rectifier is dropping this to about 14 volts direct current and charging the battery.

There was a good reason I said "Trust me".
I got tired of electrical problems on my old bike.
If you have 3 wires, it does not matter which goes where.
If it's different, refer to TXm42's answer. His memory is better than mine, and he's probably forgotten as much as I've learned.
