That depends on the time of year, roses are always in season, but Calla's do have a good season and a bad season.
For years I grew Calla Lily commercially in New England. In the hottest part of the summer they just will not produce a flower.
So you have to buy imports. They are expensive.
Roses on the other hand are produced year round in South America, and the only thing that puts the price up is Holiday demand, like Mothers day and Valentines Day.
