Main predators of blackbuck are cheetah, wolf, dogs, and rarely tiger and leopard.

Being among one of the fastest mammals with very keen eyesights, few are killed by predators due to their abilities to run quickly to escape.

However, excessive hunting for their meat and skin, and for sporting trophies, as well as habitat loss are the main causes of the decline in their population listing them as ENDANGERED species in India and Nepal.

I just don't understand why we would say an animal to be endangered, where as they are many in other countries and are even a problem of over population, and some are even bred. We say endangered when that type of species are near to extinct. Nevertheless, excessive should not be tolerated, if these balckbuck hunting were taken illegally, then the law that covers in that certain area has to be responsible.
