I'm 36 weeks and 3 days pregnant with our first baby. I've not lost my sex drive at all, if nothing else, it has picked up in the last week or so. Last night during sex I was propped up on my back at the edge of the bed since it is getting a little more difficult these days. It honestly felt like there was pressure on my anus/perinium, almost like I had to go to the bathroom. There was just alot of pressure all together in the general vecinity. It isn't the first time we've done this position, just did last week and it didn't feel like this. I want to have sex with my husband and I still feel the drive, but not if it feels like this. Did anyone else experience anything like this?

Dont do things that are going to cause you to bear down. Thats why you feel like that, sitting propped in that way, and then with the added motion of the ocean it causes all your baby to clear the pelvis and put more pressure on that area.

It is normal, but you just dont want to do things that are uncomfortable. Try a different position, spooning or girl on top, or the edge of the bed in a different way might work better.

Yes. It is all normal. there are a lot of hormones on your blood stream. And with the extra blood flow and pressure in your cervical area, it happens. It was the same for me. Every day the baby gets bigger and so does the pressure. From now til the end, the baby will grow about 1 to 1 1/2 ounces a day.
No worries there. You may want to try 'doggy' propped on a lot of pillows. That works good.

When you were in that position, your guys penis was rubbing along the back of your pelvic cavity, probaly putting pressure on the anus and lower intestine, giving you that feeling.

Your baby must have moved a bit, jostling your bowel and intestines, putting them in the way during sex. You may have to find another position if it is too uncomfortable.

Also, increased sex drive is very normal for pregnant woman.

Yep, sex gets a little akward those last few weeks. My sex drive was crazy while pregnant so we kept adjusting until I found a comfortable position, lol. Being on my hands and knees was the only position I could tolerate the last month (sorry if tmi).

My wife was the horniest I`ve ever seen her during pregnancy. We had sex up to 7 mos and then just did oral the last 2 mos. She wasn`t uncomfortable, we just didn`t want to take a chance on damaging the baby. Sounds silly but I`d probably go the same way again today should she conceive.

As your belly gets larger, what felt comfortable last week might not work for you this week. This is completely normal.

Use your imagination, try different positions and see what works best. Go to the bookstore and buy a Karma Sutra book for ideas.

For being 36 weeks and still having a sex drive.....YOU GO GIRL!!! Good for you!

No we stopped at 7 months (and it is KILLING ME), but at any rate, the baby has more than likely dropped into your pelvis so the pressure of the baby, the penis, and you sitting, is resting on your perineum.

As an alternative, have your husband massage your perineum for pleasure - it will soften the area so that when delivery comes you will be less likely to tear (episiotomy).

it could be just the way you were laying, try *giggles*(i love saying this word) doggie, its better and you can use a pillow under your tummy. But just be careful on how you lay/sit/stand/bend or whateva! take care of that baby!
