Would you believe my ex and I went to a jazz festival in Hampton, Va. in summer of '69 and sat out in the open air stadium where the various acts performed in 105 deg heat, drinking Gatorade and Gin! lol...ah being young [and stupid! lol]

Slk - actually it didn't taste any different than drinking Gin with fruit juice...we didn't 'graduate' to vodka until years later...Now I don't drink anything! lol

The original was made with real sugar and really not that sweet. Now the newer versions seem too sweet to me.

Lemonhart Gin. The preferred drink in college. All good winos would kill to have it!!

Being a much cooler climate up here in Canada, I did not become acquainted with gatorade until many years later. But I DID find out that lemon-lime gatorade mixed with iced tea makes a fairly decent thirst quencher when you're out cycling hard. (Which I can't do any more either!)

I have never liked the taste of gatoraide and the thought of it with gin gives me the shivers. That's as bad as lime koolaide and rum, oh th good ol poor days. What we did to have fun, owwww

EDIT: Now we're talking, Boones farm was one I did enjoy, strawberry hill with a scoop of orange sherbert on a cold winters night now that was yummy.

Yes we have, sorry to hear the inventor passed away. My husband loves Gatorade, but it's a little to sweet for me.
I always liked something more tart, like lemonade.

Yes Gatorade and rum, my favorite hard liquor after Metaxa. Talk about MD20/20 every try Tokay at 69 cents a gallon, you could drink it, run your car and remove paint all with one bottle. And don't forget Spanada, yuk!
