Yeah. It's nice to be blunt and honest. Sometimes the truth hurts. People who can't handle it should buy some extra bandaids.

Smartass can be clever in some situations, but I noticed there are some questions that are really just looking for a serious answer.
Smartass usually wins in a toss up, though.

Why don't you do both? I do. If it's a stupid question (and there is such thing as a stupid question) then it gets a stupid answer. If someone really needs the help then I do take my time on the answer. Honestly, it's whatever I feel like typing at the moment though for most cases XD

do a nice little mix... I usually judge the question... if it is a stupid question you get a stupid answer... if it is a sincere question, it deserves a sincere answer...
its fine to joke around with someone who is already joking around... but I mean... its not good to abuse people either...
It takes all kinds... we gotta be adaptive...
