This plant / weed has a red/pink type penis shaft and grows to about 8 cm. Just underneath the surface there is a white mushroom type seed which the plant/weed grows from. The plant/weed only seems to live for 3-10 days then dies and stinks. It seems to attrack the flies. I remove these plants but more seem to turn up.

It's called a stinkhorn and is a type of fungus. It is poisonous so don't attempt to eat it.
