Tan(50)-cos(40)/cos(50) Dont use calculator?

well, cos40 for a 40-50-90 triangle is the same as sin50 and sin50/cos50 is tan50 so the answer is 0

Don't need a calculator!
tan 50 = sin 50/cos 50 = cos 40/sin 50,
so the difference is 0.
