Gel. Not putty or wax because its too greasy and spray gets sticky on the skin.

Hair spray is the best, if you want that bouncy airy feeling to it! Gel is too heavy...it will mat your hair down

i perfer neither but i use to use both. when i had a perm, i loved gel... but if i didnt i used hair spray.. now i pernone.. my hair is damaged from all the chemicals i use to use.. so now after 4 years of "babying" it back.. i perfer not to use any ..unless i have too. :)

a combo of both, gel first then a lil spray to hold it while the gel kicks in....
