I live near the Mimbres River...at least that is what they call it, I have only seen water in it 2 times since I moved here 2 years ago, so I call it a wash.
I grew up on a lake, and wish to someday live on one again.

I live in Michigan so I'm surrounded by water... there's always a lake or river nearby! I'd say I'm less than a mile from three different rivers and about a half hour from the bay.
