Thanks everyone! Had a "lunch date" with my husband! We'll see if it worked and I'll keep on trying. I'll look into the CM helpers (i.e. preseed, more water).

CM is just an abbreviation for cervical mucous EW is egg white.

All this means is that you want your vaginal mucous to have that change in consistency that indicates you are close to ovulating. Usually you will ovulate at about day 14, Day 1 is the first day of your period.... so you usually ovulate about 2 weeks after STARTING your period.

Hope this helps... this again is NOT a medical condition, just words to describe your mucous.

To learn more go to WEBMD.com and search cervical mucous during ovulation.

Good luck.

Yes, that very well could be why you haven't gotten pg yet. Hostile cervical mucus is pretty common. When the mucus isn't right the sperm can't swim through it, they just get tangled up and die. There are some things you can do to help though--drink lots of water, drink green tea, stay away from antihistamines or other allergy meds including bendaryl and rx meds. Also, don't douche. And you can try robitussin to help, here's the info on that-- http://www.fertilityplus.org/faq/cm.html
And the other option would be to use a special lubricant called PreSeed, here's info on that-- http://www.preseed.com/ Any other lubes will actually kill sperm so don't use any other lubes. One last possibility, raw egg whites. Put the egg out of the fridge for a couple hours before sex, then crack the egg and apply the whites into your vagina. Studies have shown that sperm can swim through egg whites because they are pure protein and that is what sperm live in. Be sure to do some research on this first as it possibly can cause infection if done incorrectly, but I've used it and never had a problem. And you only use it once or twice each cycle during ovulation, not every day.

Not every woman gets egg white mucus, If you are really wet down there, that is just as well. I have heard (don't laugh) of people actually using real egg white as lubrication to help the sperm up to the egg. Obviously you are fertile now, and you may have your egg white cm up there right now, but just cannot see/feel it. Obviously the doc says you are fertile so GET BUSY GIRL! Do it once today, tomorrow and the next days! GOOD LUCK!
