Sure is! It is one of the less appealing side effects of pregnancy. Your hair will start to grow quicker too! My stomach was once hairless now has black hairs all over, my fiancee teases me that I am in a competetion to get a thicker happy trail than him! All I know is I have heard DO NOT shave it because it is all caused by hormones and will fall out after birth if you dont shave, but if you do, it will be right up there with shaving your armpits and legs on a daily basis forever....

Enjoy being hairy...lol....as much as you can! It will be okay....

Congrats!

Hormones can do funny things. My hair went from striaght as a pin to curly while pregnant. Weird. My tummy hair was darker, but it lightened after the delivery.

all normal!! I'm 28 weeks pregnant with my first and I had blonde hairs on my stomach (despite being a brunette) and the line of hair thats above my bellybutton and below has darkened...its all normal..it'll return to normal colour after birth of baby (not striaght away)

Its a perfectly normal hormonal reaction. A good part of this is that the hair on your head can become thicker and glossier too.

Yes thats normal. :o) Annoying, but normal! Hair will grow faster too, so if you have fairly short hair and like to have long hair, it may well grow a lot during these nine months.

Yes, it is normal. I was like that too but at around 18 weeks. After birth it grows back to normal. It is just your hormones. =]

Congrats!

yes they will be darker and usually you will get more. I know I am hairier now than I was before. I am told it goes away after you deliver though.

good luck!
