The opposite of consciousness you might find in a 'black hole', although you will not find anything when you enter in it, because you will not be able to keep your consciousness that you need to find something.
Now as you have received an answer that is not an answer because you can't proof it, so you need to reflect about it very intensively. When you do it long enough and really intense, then you might experience the opposite of consciousness, by falling into a 'black hole'. Then you will have the answer!

PS: Don't worry, when you do this 'intense reflection' you will not fall into a 'black hole', because consciousness works like a centrifugal governor, when you eccelerate too much then your consciousness slows down automatically, that's the way your personality survives. So I'm afraid your question will not be answered. Unless...

The direct answer will of course be 'unconsciousness' or comatose like many here said. However when we look closely to the term 'consciousness' we find that it is a bit more complex than we think. The definition of consciousness is "being aware of something" or "the state of being conscious" (Merriam Webster online). The state of being conscious may be nothing more than just sensory input to the brain and causing a neurological reaction to the stimulus. This state can be formulated in an equation. However as we dissect this state we come to understand the complex web of interaction between the chemicals in our brain as well as the external stimuli we are experiencing. (Please see link below)
So, to answer your question, the opposite state may not be as easily defined as just purely being 'unconscious'. It could be that we are at the moment of being unconscious experiencing an 'altered' state. Something to think about...

Thank you for your question

"Consciousness is God's awareness of Self." There is no other thing Real, hence, "Consciousness" or "this Mind which was also in Christ Jesus" has no second, or "opposite."

"Consciousness" is Truth; moving from One Mind Soul via erring manipulation or distorting of Energy, God as Spirit, Light, moves Soul-individuation into soulfield, biofield, +/- relativity good and evil, energy-veiling, e-veiling, eviling.

Most humans do not Realize that Consciousness has no second; instead, they find shadings, gradations, of relative good and evil, and variously term them "philosophies."

Unconsciousness...when you are conscious, you are aware. That can mean you are aware of a specific thing or you are just conscious in general (as in being awake). The unconscious refers to not being aware, which is the opposite of consciousness. You can be unconscious to a specific thing, or in general (as in being asleep). But the unconscious is capable of creating your dreams and storing everything you know but are unaware that you know.
