Sort of.
This is basically a comment that it's easy to enjoy the pleasant aspects of life when you don't have to deal with it's harsh dark realities.
E.g. The good wife blissfully bakes bread for her family, because she is ignorant of the bodies her husband has mangled to secure the land. As a nurturer, she would likely be horrified by the life of a warrior. Her ignorance is bliss.
This truism though is reliant on the principal that not everyone is ignorant.
If a pampered people in a peaceful land forget that peace is ultimately secured through the capacity for violence, it's likely their bliss will be coming to swift end.

It is a complicated question you have posed- because the question then becomes "what is ignorance," and "what is bliss?" This can't be answered in such a simple way. But I believe that if one is unaware of the bad in the world and choose not to be aware, this can lead to a much happier existence, which could thus be ignorance in some way. So, yes, ignorance could be bliss. And very sad indeed.

Yes, but not to the ignorant. If one knows nothing, they don't know fear, hate, greed, anger, sadness, or guilt. But they also aren't aware of all the good emotions such as: happiness, love, surprise, lust, or comradeship.
If one never heard anything negative said about the dark, one would not be afraid of the dark. Once, this person watches their first horror film where a bad guy is sheathed in darkness, this person may develop a fear of the dark.
The thing is, they did not realize they were in bliss before when they were unafraid of the dark, but once they are frightened, they think they were blissful before. So, I believe that ignorance is bliss only to the intelligent.

If you don't know you don't know, you can't be upset about it!
Yeah, I think ignorance is bliss. A relative popped down to the downstairs loo and as she came back up to join us all we all stopped conversation and listened to this sh-sh-sh sound. When the relative passed me and others by we all fell about laughing. The sh-sh sound was a long length of loo roll attached like a tail to this poor persons rear. Unaware she was still connected to the toilet roll and all of us in stitches she joined in laughing with us which made it funnier. It took a very long time for her to realise what we were laughing at.
For the period of her ignorance she was blissfully unaware. Her bliss and ignorance was short lived and taken over by embarrassment.
It was the funniest thing I have ever seen and I still fall about laughing about it today.

Depends on the knowledge at hand. There are no absolutes besides death. So, I can't give an absolute answer... If I was going to die, I'd want to know it. Some people wouldn't.. I'd want to live life without restrictions even for just a little while.
(And those of you who say that you should live that way every day, you can't. It's impossible. You have to abide laws unless you want to end up in jail.)

It depends on specific circumstances and what you consider to be bliss. Also, it could be bliss if you're hooked on that feeling you get when you learn something new (granted you do experience something - as i do)

Unfortunately.
I thought of asking this question. My thought is that Ignorant people are unable to comprehend the wrongs around them and thus is blinded to them. People cannot see what they cannot understand. But through knowledge comes comprehension and thereby opening there eyes to the world around them.

Sometimes, it depends on what it is . .some things, are in your best interest to know, other times, you're just better off not knowing. .
