I think Jim Carey tries too hard to be a modern day Jerry Lewis - he is a good actor but only when he plays a straight role eg: Man on the Moon as Andy Kaufman, or as the villain Count Olaf in Lemons Snicket's series of Unfortunate events.
His comedy roles actually make me cringe - sorry.

Jim Carrey is OK.... My favourite comedian of all time is still Groucho Marx. That guy will never be overtaken. He was the funniest, nuttiest comedian of all time.
