Why are things typed up but written down?

Just guessing here, but in the olden days, when people actually typed on a typewriter and a piece of paper, the paper rolled up as you typed. When you write, you move down on the paper.

My best guess is that when I was really little I had a very old fashioned typewriter that had a wheel of metal letters on sticks that would push UP depending on what button you pressed and thwack against the paper to type. So it types UP. And you look down to write usually.

cuz when you type words the texts will be input upward to the monitor that u are looking up relatively higher than the keyboard your hands are typing on
and when you write texts down, the texts are input onto the paper that u are looking down unlike when u type u look upward you look downward when you write something on paper

in many circumstances a key board is at a decrease top than the computing device to the place the tips is despatched, on an identical time as the lead of the pencil and the penicl itself are larger than the paper
