Me and my wife are going to rent a house, but I have read horror stories about how houses get forclosed under the renters nose. What can I do to protect me and my wife against this?

The only way to protect yourself from this is to have this written into the lease agreement. If the owner sells the property, the new owner must honor the lease agreement you had with the old owner.

Maybe you could check with their bank in which the loan is through..I don't they have to help you though..
You may not to protect yourselves from a forcloser but I don't think you should be worried about it. Why live in fear over something you cannot control.
Get renters insurance:this would be how to protect yourself.
Make sure you understand all the terms of your contract too.
Good luck

Not much out there to protect you. I would investigate your landlord through the mortgage company. You want to find a landlord who has had their house for at least 7 years. Most people who own there home for 7 years or more will work harder so that they don't lose the money that they have put into their house. Good luck!

If your jobs are that good why rent and waste your money. In todays market there are to many homes out there for cheap. I have a friend that lives in Michigan look at his website and see if maybe you should be buying a house. His name is Mark

You really can't. A rental that is rented will show better to a new buyer. You can ask them and they can lie. Sometimes things just change too after the fact......Sorry but that is the way anymore and it is unfair to the tenants.
