Harper is a cute name.
It reminds me of Harper Lee, the author of To Kill A Mockingbird. The story that helped to stop the segregation against black people in the 1950s.
So I guess Harper reminds me of a strong woman, maybe a leader.

I don't think any thing of the poor girl with the name. I wonder who would give thier baby girl such a name. Sorry to me Harper is a last name. Although I have heard worst, at least you are asking first.

to me the name harper is a weird and unique name. Make sure to be carefull in what you name your baby girl. Think of a name with strong meaning and people would not look at you in a weird way when you pronouce it.

the woman who wrote to kill a mockingbird was named Harper Lee right? i think the name is original but its definatly cute i think of an independent woman when i hear Harper i think ur baby will be strong like her name

When I think of the name Harper I think of someone who harps on things. Kind of like a label for someone. Like if you named her Whiney, you would think of someone that whines.
