A little light petting....?

What did I have in mind when I flirted with death? That is a very serious question for I have and was very nearly 'seduced'. What I had in mind was how I would save everyone else the trouble of me.

Flirting with death is darkness extreme,
Like treading the narrowest of beams.
One step there, another step here.
Either way, something to fear. - Jeff Watkins - 28/11/2007

I got into a near fatal car accident 2 years ago while driving to work, I was on the highway and a 16 wheeler was passing me on the right and due to the high winds, my car got put off balance and on 2 wheels and swerved off the highway and hit a tree dead on at roughly 65mph. I miraculously survived with just a severe neck sprain, but I remember being sure that I was going to die and that I couldn't avoid the tree since I had no control of the car. All of this happened in a split second, one second I'm listening to the radio, then 2 seconds later I'm about to die at age 25. Crazy stuff. Right as I hit the tree I said Oh God. It was a life changing event for me and my faith in God. I'm very grateful to still be around.

Is that what you heard? No, no, that's not what happened.

Death was flirting with me and I had a good mind to teach that reaper a lesson......so I led him on just a bit.....the rest of the story is pretty grim....so I'll spare you the details of it.

Edit: To The Reverand: Peace and Love to you.....that is an amazing story. I'm so glad you are safe and well.

Hmm, I've flirted with a ~ vampire, once. And it was gorgeous. It would be . . . . . to feel that again - wonderful. I have no words. Oh, I have no idea what may I have in my mind when I'm sleeping.

With Death? Never! I fought with it few times.

I didn't understand your question: your assuming we have flirted with death. I have never knowingly flirted with death, so it's difficult to relate to your question.

I read your profile, and you seem to be a maze of contradictions.

An interesting question - I guess - but, sorry, don't have a meaningful answer for you.

Flirt with death? Is this a question about my driving?

Uhm. When you say "flirt" it means you put yourself in danger that you had no business nor real reason to be in.

Many others among us laboring "working stiffs" court danger just by working everyday because someone has to do it. Talk to soldiers, policemen, construction workers, health care workers, ambulance attendants, etc

Safety measures makes it appear routine and acceptable.

If someone placed their foot and that pedal to the metal just because he simply felt like it, it was a choice to
1. Prove they were a real macho man, brave and fearless.(Someone stopped and signalled "race?")
2. needed the adrenalin rush. (Everybody was sooo slow)
3. didnt think, really, just didnt slow down.(Bad judgment)
4. Angry, felt challenged, simply reacted. (Left school/home/office in a snit)
